Full Day (6 Hour) Electrical Course

Our Electrical DIY courses are designed to give you the practical skills and confidence to safely handle common household electrical tasks. You’ll start by learning the basics, including wiring a 3-pin plug, changing a pendant light, and wiring a one-way switch. We will then move onto safe isolation of electrical circuits, wiring one- and two-way lighting systems, wiring a ring main, and performing continuity and polarity testing

​​​​​​​This electrical full day course will focus on all the essentials you need to fix, mend and create your vision in a safe manner. During the time we will cover:

Basic Electrical Skills Include:

• Correct wiring of a 3-pin plug

• Wiring a one-way switch / changing a pendant

• Adding sockets to the ring main

Advanced Electrical Skills Include:​

• Carry out the safe isolation of an electrical circuit

• Wiring of one and two way light circuits

• Wiring of a ring main circuit

• Carry out continuity and polarity testing 

• Fault finding

• Tools and their correct use
