Plastering Course
This one or two-day Plastering course is designed to build your confidence and teach practical skills you can use to curate your perfect home while saving on costs.
You’ll learn correct tool use, wall preparation, smoothing, skimming, and effective repair techniques. We’ll also show you how to work on different surfaces, mix plaster properly, and achieve a clean, professional finish ready for decorating. Ranging from basic skills to more advanced techniques.
During this short course, you will learn:
The essential tools and equipment required for basic plastering and skimming repairs
How to use PVA to prepare walls for skimming
Techniques for using multi-mix and bonding plaster
How to achieve a smooth and flat finish when skimming walls
Methods for re-skimming walls to prepare them for repainting or decorating
How to feather-in for patch repairs on skimmed walls, enabling quick and invisible repairs to smaller areas
How to fix plasterboard to stud work for dividing rooms
The second day covers: ceilings, drylining, and angle beading around doors and windows
